The whimsical words and melody of this song made me think that this would be the background track for the first time I fell in love

First romantic moment

Shallows
lady gaga

So when I moved to ludhiana in a co-ed school. This was my first experience of punjabi guys trying to woo a new student in class with their classic zest for life and every time I would pass the corridors of my class they would sing this song and somehow it still brings a smile to my face.

First heart break song

On the whole, the songs from the movie 96 has so much to learn from and appreciate.

All the songs from 96 movie (Tamil)

There was this weird little corner in our school library, next to the window that always creaked when you opened it, under a ceiling fan that wobbled like it might fall any minute. No one sat there. It wasn’t cool or cozy. So naturally, we claimed it. It started as a place to “study” for finals. read more →

Not decided yett

Eh you'll hear it when you see me :P

I had just got into Indian bands in college and I played this one of the first people I went out with, I loved this song so much after the breakup this song was totally ruined for me. It's taken me more than a decade to finally listen to it at Side B

Maanga jo mera hai, jaata kya tera hai, maine kaun si tujh se jannat maang li? Imagine a starry eyed 16-year-old looking up at the moon and furiously reciting these lines in her head, wishing that the boy with bright blue eyes and golden brown hair notices her as he passes by on his two wheeler. Did it work? Did the dua reach the moon and bounce back? Does moon-ifestation work?

Ajj Din Chadheya

Covid-lockdown was a tough time for all of us . Being someone who loves human interactions and being away from family was also very painful to handle. This song and the band itself was a refuge that let me push through this :)

This has become my gym pump up song. Description says it’s AI generated, which if true for the sound track that’s amazing!! I appreciate this rendition for feeling more action oriented and less devotional. Backup songs: Kr$sna - fun party skng https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vR16Gu-Uq00 Aakash / Jonita Gandhi’s Pani Da Rang. Just takes you to a different place https://www.youtube. read more →

So picture this Class tenth. I was a girl in school with tees and all. There’s a day in the coaching class where we are performing songs. Someone shows enthusiasm for Taylor swift and I suggest we sing “you belong with me.” Guess what, I sang it. Crush who is very uncultured about english music scene in general immediately recognises it. And I’m like yeah, this is very us coded, lol. read more →

Simply put: I see her face when I listen to the song.

Someone i knew, obviously a Swiftie introduced me (someone who only listens to indie and trance). At first I was like bruhhh, but the more I listened to it, i have grown to love it and have it in my motorcycle riding playlist. A real guilty pleasure.

Young me (and his then partner) thought this was very romantic and an apt description of our love.

Song name - Mann ki Lagaan, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan For someone who has never been in a relationship and who is a hopeless romantic secretly, I can only dream of what "mohabaat" feels like through movies and songs. The first time I listened to this song, I listened it to non stop for 3 days straight and came to a conclusion that this is exactly how I should feel when I fall in love one day. read more →
