“This one’s from an album called 'Standing on the Shoulders of Giants,' arguably my favorite album because it’s from Oasis’s experimental phase. They threw out all the old equipment they owned and bought a bunch of interesting pedals and such things. As an electronics nerd and someone who enjoyed audio production, I love thinking about how they got it to sound the way it did. The title refers to Newton’s 'If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.' The song brings up feelings of me listening to it the first time , the adrenaline washing off me sitting on the top of a cold dark double-decker en route to London from Edinburgh with the city lights reflecting off me after being mugged by a junkie covered in a blood-stained wife beater not long ago fitting because it’s a song about coke withdrawal.”
